Shoot-everything style meets stronger story in 'Borderlands 2'

Shoot-everything style meets stronger story in 'Borderlands 2'
Borderlands 2 weaves together a rich, deep storyline with his "shoot everything" mentality to an adventure you immerse for many, many hours to produce. The game opens again on Pandora, a planet with a Wild West mentality and love of outlaw justice. It begins five years after the end of the "Borderlands" and the opening of the Vault, a location of rumors wealth that actually contained a huge alien creature with huge jaws and multiple tentacles. This time, Pandora is under the control of a man named Handsome Jack, mining the planet for a valuable resource to another Vault to open. It's not hard to figure out if Jack is the villain - you start the game left for dead after being attacked by his henchmen. One of the main things "Borderlands" perhaps lacked, "Borderlands 2" has in spades - a great story with interesting characters. The writing team of Gearbox Software really dived deep into each character, making them unique and give them purpose. Players can connect with them and that feeling of immersion increases the level of "Borderlands 2" a simple shooter to something more.Dialog of the characters helps cement that attachment, as well as providing some comical moments. Some of the death screams of his enemies almost "Monty Python-esque" and the humor helps the sharp edges of the dying and suffering that is around you.Banter between characters is laugh-out-loud funny. Serious soldiers have lighthearted moments and comic foils are portrayed in serious moments. The range is what you would expect from real people, not a typical one-dimensional game characters.Even Handsome Jack, poor guy though he may be, evolves and changes during the game. Started as a sarcastic, bullying, self-centered jerk, he turns and starts to exhibit other, more caring emotions. But like most people, you find out what he is really about in the end. You really going to hate this guy.The story progresses through a mission / quest system. There is the main quest (beat Jack, save the day), but there are plenty of side missions that help enhance your experience and help you understand what's going on with Pandora. Interaction with other characters is a must.Shoot-everything style meets stronger story in 'Borderlands 2' Take time through the missions. See everything there is to see. Talk to everyone you can. It makes the game more fun and you'll discover even more missions. Finishing the game will take hours, so there is no rush to climax of the story.

"Borderlands 2," like its predecessor, is all about the booty - especially weapons. There are hundreds of different weapons configurations are found or purchased.Hold a gun, because it does acid damage or opt for the shotgun with more power? The choices can be tiring, but really can be customized to suit your style of play. There are boxes with loot at almost every turn. Unless you're in open terrain, it's hard not to around one of these boxes. Players will get overwhelmed by the amount of treasure they find, and sometimes what to leave behind because they can not bear it all. You will sell a lot, but end up spending that money on more ammo or better shields. And almost every enemy you kill will drop slightly. You wonder where the spin-ant is hiding that sniper rifle, but hey, he obviously no longer needed.Oh, and outbuildings scattered about Pandora are real treasure chests. I think people do not notice that they were dropping their weapons as they were taking care of business. The adjustment extends from the arsenal of the player characters themselves. There are four characters to choose from.More of a murderer? Zero is your man. Axton is a command soldier, while Salvador is a "gunzerker" (think crazy guy with two guns). Maya is a Siren, with telepathic / mystical powers. Each playthrough will be unique depending on the skills you choose.Characters can also be visually customized. Change your character's head or clothes and you can still stand out in a crowd of Zeros.Graphically, the game looks and plays like "Borderlands." The controls are basically the same with only a few changes. Environments are noticeably different, though, look sharper and more vivid than before. There are also barrels of acid, electricity, explosives and so on battlefields, so use it to provide large groups of enemies. For a game as large and deep as "Borderlands 2," there were only a few visual glitches. (Helicopter pilots would remain in the air after their choppers were torn to pieces. Creatures would get blown into solid rock faces of shells, not allowing them to be slain, but still making them shoot you.)Would you like the challenge? Add up to three friends and enemies (and booty) the correct incline. Choose between up to four-player online co-op, or (if you want your partner next to you to have) two-player split screen co-op. The game will also be two split-screen co-ops if that's how you want to roll.It really works best when four people play different classes, because each complements the other with their specific skills. With four murderers would be a bit silly."Borderlands 2" took what was nice "Borderlands" and interesting characters added to a range of emotions, and a deep, tells story worth following. You laugh, you are angry and you are likely to make the controller grip a little tighter as the tension rises. All these distinctions "Borderlands 2" has received are earned and well deserved. If you like "Borderlands," you're going to love "Borderlands 2."
